Credit Card
A credit card is something that we can barely do without these days, but abuse that credit card and you will have a hard time paying it off!
Credit Card
Be a responsible spender
That is lesson number one when dealing with a credit card - be responsible. But it is also a lesson that most of us learn the hard way, only after we have charged up so much that we are stuck as we cannot pay it back and the minimums are having very little effect. Ok, so maybe you did make a few mistakes with that credit card, but that does not mean that you have to repeat the lessons of the past and continue to spend as you have been. You are the one with control over your credit cards and not the other way around! So, now is the time to make those changes that will get you out of those credit card debts and back into the black, but that will also ensure that you do not rack up comparable credit card debts in the future.
Be strict with yourself
You need to figure out how much money you earn each month and how much of that you can spend, it's called budgeting and precious few of us do it. Then you need to spend only that amount of money each month so that you do not end up in arrears. If you have already overcharged on one of your credit cards, then take it out of your wallet for now and do not use it until you have paid off what you have already spent. If you really want something or need it, then start to save for it and buy it only after you know that it is something that you can afford. By paying off your credit card debt each and every month you will not be charged any interest, but will be showing the credit card company that you have changed your ways. After 6 months of that you can then go to them and ask for a lower interest rate and a higher credit limit.
